All RPS 205 schools are closed today because of the colder than expected weather. All after-school activities are also cancelled including Y Care. The RPS 205 Admin Bldg, Sterling Holley, & Ops Support Ctr will be open. This day will be made up on March 3 (Casimir Pulaski Day).

We are excited to share that the 2025-2026 school year calendar was approved by the school board on Tuesday night. It includes several important updates that reflect our commitment to aligning with neighboring districts and enhancing the overall learning experience for our students. Key Changes : Earlier Start Date: The school year will begin earlier in August. This adjustment is possible because all RPS 205 schools are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable learning environment during warmer months. Fall Break: We will continue to offer a full week off for Fall Break, giving families and staff time to recharge. First Semester Ends Before Winter Break: High School students will complete their first semester before Winter Break, allowing for a true break without pending exams or projects. School Year Ends Before Memorial Day: The last day of school will occur before Memorial Day, providing families an earlier start to summer vacation. A Night of Gratitude: The BPAC hosted a beautiful Gratitude Dinner at Resa Middle School, bringing bilingual families together to share delicious dishes and meaningful conversations. The evening focused on discussing bilingual funding and gathering feedback to help enhance our bilingual programs. With around 100 attendees, the event was a huge success! 🎉 A big THANK YOU to our amazing BPAC cabinet members and RPS 205 Bilingual staff for making this gathering so memorable! ----------------------------------------------- ¡Una Noche de Gratitud! El BPAC organizó una hermosa Cena de Gratitud en la escuela secundaria Resa, reuniendo a familias bilingües para compartir platillos deliciosos y conversaciones significativas. La junta se centró en discutir los fondos bilingües y recopilar comentarios para mejorar nuestros programas bilingües. Con alrededor de 100 asistentes, ¡el evento fue todo un éxito! 🎉 ¡Un gran GRACIAS a nuestros increíbles miembros del gabinete de BPAC y al personal bilingüe de RPS 205 por hacer de esta reunión algo inolvidable!
